Green hydrogen – IPCEI Hy2Use to fund joint projects in Gela and Taranto between Enel Green Power and Eni.

Two projects by Italian multinational corporations Enel Green Power and Eni to develop green hydrogen will receive public funding approved by the European Commission under IPCEI Hy2Use.

Zirfon – Agfa-Gevaert wins the essenscia Innovation Award 2022 with groundbreaking membrane technology for green hydrogen.

Imaging specialist and specialty chemical company Agfa-Gevaert from Mortsel has won the essenscia Innovation Award 2022, the most important prize for industrial innovation in Belgium. Agfa has developed a membrane technology with Zirfon that makes the production of green hydrogen more efficient and cheaper.

Through the application of a technology, it is now possible to create valuable molecules from tree dregs and then use the electrons gained from this process to create “solar hydrogen.”

It is seen as a potential commercial “green hydrogen” technology since it can manufacture hydrogen using solar power while also improving production efficiency.
