06.04.2026 >> Hydrogen Valleys Days 2026 will take place from 4 to 8 May in Antwerp (Belgium), bringing together European and international stakeholders from the hydrogen sector. The event will highlight the role of “Hydrogen Valleys” in connecting hydrogen production, distribution, and end-use, while fostering concrete projects, investment, and regional competitiveness. The programme includes high-level sessions, strategic forums, thematic workshops, and networking opportunities, contributing to accelerating the deployment of clean hydrogen across Europe. // 06.04.2026 >> IRENA’s “Renewable Capacity Statistics 2026” highlights continued strong growth in global renewable energy. In 2025, renewable power capacity reached a record 5,149 GW, with an annual increase of 692 GW (+15.5%). Solar energy led this expansion, accounting for the majority of new capacity, followed by wind power. Renewables represented around 85% of all new power capacity additions, reinforcing their central role in the global energy transition, although further acceleration is still needed to meet 2030 targets.

Hive Energy to build PV-driven hydrogen hub in Spain

Hive Energy is in the process of securing approval to deploy 800 MW of electrolysis capacity and 1.1 GW of PV in Spain’s Albacete province, as part of a broader plan to install 9 GW of wind and solar power, along with 4 GW of electrolyzers by 2030.

Maire awarded FEED contract for integrated green hydrogen and ammonia plant in Portugal

MAIRE announced that Tecnimont (Integrated E&C Solutions) has been awarded a FEED contract by MadoquaPower2X to develop an integrated green hydrogen and green ammonia plant located in the industrial zone of Sines, Portugal. MadoquaPower2x is a consortium comprised of Madoqua Renewables, Power2X and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Energy Transition Fund.
